IMPACT PROTECTION

Protect the Areas
That Take the Hits.

Paint Protection Film is a transparent sacrificial layer installed over vulnerable painted surfaces to help reduce damage from stone chips, road debris, light abrasion and everyday physical exposure. VDS selects coverage around how the vehicle is actually used rather than treating every vehicle the same.

COVERAGE STRATEGY
Quoted after assessment

Coverage can range from high-impact areas to full-front or broader custom protection depending on the vehicle and ownership goals.

PRICING APPROACH
Case-by-case

Vehicle geometry, panel complexity, film coverage and preparation requirements materially affect installation time and price.

Assessment-based service. PPF recommendations and pricing are provided after the vehicle and intended coverage are reviewed. This avoids quoting unnecessary film or underestimating complex installation work.

CHOOSE COVERAGE BY RISK

Protect the Surfaces Most Likely to Be Damaged.

PPF makes the most sense where physical impact is the primary concern. Coverage should reflect driving environment, vehicle design, mileage, road exposure and how long you intend to own the vehicle.

01

High-Impact Areas

Targeted protection for the most vulnerable sections such as leading edges, rocker areas, mirror caps or other vehicle-specific impact zones.

Best for: selective protection where the exposure is concentrated.

02

Full Front

Broader front-end coverage typically centered around the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors for vehicles exposed to regular highway driving and road debris.

Best for: daily-driven and enthusiast vehicles with consistent forward-impact exposure.

03

Custom / Broader Coverage

Additional panels or more extensive protection where vehicle design, usage or ownership goals justify going beyond the front impact zone.

Best for: collector, performance or long-term ownership vehicles with specific protection priorities.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

PPF Is Sacrificial Protection. Not Invincibility.

Paint Protection Film is designed to take abuse before the paint does. It can materially reduce many common forms of physical paint damage, but no film can make a vehicle damage-proof.

HELPS WITH

Stone Chips & Road Debris

PPF is particularly valuable where repeated road impact is the primary risk.

HELPS WITH

Light Abrasion

The sacrificial film layer can reduce direct paint contact from minor scuffing and surface abrasion.

DOES NOT PREVENT

All Physical Damage

Severe impact, deep scratches, collision damage, dents and other high-energy events can still damage the film and underlying surface.

The objective is damage reduction, not a promise of perfect paint forever.

THE VDS PROCESS

Protection Begins Before the Film Is Installed.

01

Assess

Review vehicle use, paint condition, panel exposure and ownership goals.

02

Select Coverage

Choose the least complicated coverage strategy that meaningfully addresses the impact risk.

03

Prepare

Clean and prepare the selected surfaces so the film is installed over a suitable finish.

04

Install

Apply the film professionally with attention to panel geometry, edges, alignment and finish quality.

05

Inspect & Maintain

Complete final inspection and provide realistic aftercare guidance for the protected areas.

A PREMIUM FINISH, INCLUDED

Protection Should Look as Good as It Performs.

Every VDS Paint Protection Film installation is completed with a complimentary ceramic coating applied to the installed film.

This final finishing stage elevates the overall appearance and feel of the protected surfaces, adding slickness and hydrophobic performance while complementing the clean, refined finish of the PPF installation.

It isn’t an optional upgrade. It’s part of how we believe a premium protection service should be completed.

PPF installed. Ceramic finished. Protection complete.

PPF VS. CERAMIC

Two Different Jobs. Often Better Together.

PPF primarily addresses physical impact. Ceramic protection primarily addresses environmental contamination, water behavior and easier maintenance. They can complement one another when both risks matter.

Concern Paint Protection Film Ceramic Protection
Stone chips / road debris Primary protection method Not designed for this
Light abrasion / sacrificial layer Strong fit Not a sacrificial film
Water behavior / easier washing Can be coated for easier care Strong fit
Environmental contamination Helpful, but not its primary role Strong fit
Best combined use Protect vulnerable impact areas Protects and simplifies maintenance
The simple rule: PPF is primarily about physical impact. Ceramic is primarily about environmental exposure and maintenance. When both risks matter, the two can work together.
